Sharon Morrow

Interim Chair of the Board of Management

Sharon has been a Non-Executive Board Member of the College for the past four years and has held the roles of Chair of Audit and Risk Committee, plus Vice Chair of the Learning, Teaching & Quality Committee. Sharon has supported the Search & Nomination Committee with recruitment to the Board, and inputted into Board Member development as part of the Chairs Committee.

Sharon holds an Honours Degree in Health and Social Care and is a registered nurse. She later pursued formal education in dental nursing and completed a Master of Business Administration in 2018. Sharon has extensive experience as a trainer including for NHS Education for Scotland’s Practice Manager course and has supported trainees on the Dental Nursing Modern Apprenticeship program. After co-owning and managing Three Towns and Kilwinning Dental Care, Sharon has continued to provide Consultancy, Inspection & Training services. Sharon is also a Non Executive Board Member for NHS Ayrshire & Arran and a board member of The College of General Dentistry Dental Nursing and Orthodontic Faculty. 

 

Her extensive background with small to medium enterprises and her commitment to continuing education, training, and career development make her a valuable addition to the Board.

Sharon is dedicated to supporting Ayrshire College’s mission and believes in the transformative power of education and professional development.

Sharon’s appointment as Interim Chair of the Board of Management will be effective from 1 July 2025, until the public appointment recruitment process for a Chair of the Board of Management is completed in 2026.
